Jason Weinstein is a 4th generation Washingtonian. He has been an entrepreneur for 15 years, having started multiple businesses, beginning in the summer of 2006 while attending Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Jason graduated from Emory in 2008, and his exposure to real estate started in 2010 when he began to learn the house-flipping business from his father, who was buying, renovating, and selling homes throughout the Washington, DC area. Jason’s mother, who has been a Real Estate Agent for more than 20 years, was typically responsible for listing and selling the homes that his father renovated.
Jason spent several years learning all aspects of the business from his parents, taking part in the acquisition, renovation, and sale of countless homes throughout the DC area. Jason ultimately went on to join his long-time best friend, Shane Crowley, in 2015, when they formed Broad Branch Development.
At the time, Jason and Shane had been best friends for more than 15 years, and they shared a vision for creating a real estate company that could capitalize on their unique combination of skills. Jason has a wide-ranging skillset, but among his most valuable skills is his ability to see development potential in places and in ways that others are unable to. Additionally, he has a remarkable knack for maximizing yield and efficiency without compromising functionality or marketability. Jason is also highly adept at navigating complicated and onerous approval processes.
Jason lives in Bethesda, Maryland with his wife and two kids. His hobbies include music and meteorology. He has played multiple musical instruments since the age of 8, and he has been a weather enthusiast for as long as he can remember. He continues to this day to be an avid student of the atmospheric sciences in his free time.
